Senior SSIS Developer / SQL Server ETL Developer

Job Summary

Experienced SSIS/SQL Server Developer responsible for designing, developing, migrating, deploying, and supporting enterprise ETL solutions. Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, SSISDB, C#, and SQL Server Agent, including migration of SSIS packages from SQL Server 2016/2019 to SQL Server 2022.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize SSIS packages for enterprise ETL processes.
• Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and database scripts.
• Work with SSIS components including OLE DB Source/Destination, Lookup, Conditional Split, Derived Column, Data Conversion, Merge Join, Sort, Execute SQL Task, File System Task, and Script Task.
• Perform SSIS package migration and upgrades from SQL Server 2016/2019 to SQL Server 2022.
• Troubleshoot migration issues related to connection managers, OLE DB/ODBC providers, metadata mismatches, Script Tasks, DLL dependencies, parameters, permissions, and package validation.
• Deploy SSIS projects to SSISDB and configure project/package parameters, environments, environment variables, and connection strings.
• Create and support SQL Server Agent jobs for scheduled ETL execution.
• Develop C# Script Tasks for custom file processing, ZIP/unZIP operations, REST API integration, JSON processing, and email notifications.
• Replace legacy/unsupported third-party libraries with supported .NET libraries, such as Ionic.Zip with System.IO.Compression and RestSharp with HttpClient/System.Net.
• Support REST API integrations, authentication, JSON processing, file transfers, and external system integrations.
• Implement file processing, validation, archival, cleanup, and automated email notification workflows.
• Support migration of SSIS workloads to Azure SQL / Azure SQL Managed Instance / Azure SSIS environments.
• Troubleshoot production ETL failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.
• Monitor and optimize SSIS package and SQL query performance.
• Use Git/GitHub/Bitbucket for source control, branching, pull requests, and code management.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support activities.
