Sr Technical Architect Fintech Investments

About the Role

Lead the architecture and technology strategy for our Investment & Wealth Management platform. Design scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions, drive engineering best practices, mentor technical teams, and integrate AI/ML capabilities to build a modern fintech product.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture

• Design end-to-end solution architecture across applications, data, integrations, cloud, and security.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Create and maintain HLD, LLD, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Define architecture standards, reusable design patterns, and governance practices.
• Lead architecture reviews and technology roadmaps.

Platform & Integration

• Design microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, and enterprise integrations.
• Evaluate build-vs-buy decisions and third-party solutions.
• Integrate with brokers, custodians, exchanges, KYC/AML providers, payment gateways, market data, and regulatory systems.
• Design scalable, highly available, and disaster recovery-ready solutions.

Cloud, Security & Data

• Architect cloud-native solutions on AWS/Azure using Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Define security architecture, IAM, API security, encryption, and compliance best practices.
• Design data architecture supporting portfolio management, NAV, trade lifecycle, settlement, reconciliation, reporting, and analytics.
• Drive AI/ML and Generative AI adoption across the platform.

Leadership

• Mentor engineering teams and technical leads.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Business stakeholders.
• Drive technical governance, innovation, and engineering excellence.

Required Skills

• 12+ years in software engineering with 5+ years in Solution Architecture.
• Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, Kafka/RabbitMQ.
• Strong experience with AWS/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/CloudFormation, CI/CD.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Enterprise Integration Patterns, API Management (Apigee/Kong/API Gateway), and architecture frameworks (TOGAF, C4 Model/UML).
• Experience with PostgreSQL/Oracle/SQL Server, Redis, Elasticsearch, and NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of scalability, performance, security, high availability, disaster recovery, and observability.
• Experience in Investment Management, Wealth Management, Asset Management, Portfolio Management Systems (PMS), Order Management Systems (OMS), trade lifecycle, portfolio valuation, NAV computation, settlement, reconciliation, market data, and custodian integrations.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solution Architect certifications preferred.
• Experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, platform modernization, DevSecOps, and fintech product development.
