Position Title: System Administrator
Department: Information Technology (IT)
Reports To: Vice President
Location: Kolkata
Employment Type: Full-time
CTC: 3 to 4.2 Lakh p.a
Job Summary:
The System Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure of SIBPL. This includes ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems, network infrastructure, and software applications that support core organizational functions.
Key Responsibilities:

- Network Management:
- Design, install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless networks, IP PBX, EPABX, and CCTV systems.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Implement network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.
- Server Management:
- Manage and maintain physical and virtual servers, primarily Windows environments, with limited Linux exposure for the Domain Server.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for critical systems.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
- System Security:
- Implement and manage security policies, firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Software and Applications:
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise software applications, including ERP systems, project management tools, and CRM systems.
- Provide support for office productivity software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- User Support:
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on new technologies and systems.
- Manage helpdesk operations and ensure timely resolution of support tickets.
- Data Management:
- Oversee data storage, backups, and recovery processes.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Manage databases and perform regular maintenance and optimization tasks.
- IT Asset Management:
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets including hardware, software, and licenses.
- Oversee the procurement and disposal of IT equipment.
- Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and software usage policies.
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new installations.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Qualifications:

- Education:
- B. Tech or BE in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in system administration, preferably within the real estate or construction industry, with hands-on experience in Windows/domain administration and limited Linux exposure for the Domain Server.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), etc.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware, software, IP PBX, EPABX, and CCTV systems.
- Proficiency in server management and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
Working Conditions:
