Job Summary
Location: Bangalore, KA
About the Team
The Fulfillment vertical at Ninjacart is focused on the farm to retailer business of procuring from farmers and delivering to retailers - ensuring that farmers get paid the right price for their efforts and that retailers are able to get market quality produce delivered at their doorsteps. The last mile distribution is handled by our Distributor partners based out of our Micro Distribution Centres.
Key Responsibilities
- Supply planning & Inventory management— Own 100% fill rate for the defined SKUs, identify sources of supply, monitor & track inventory to ensure low wastage while maintaining optimal supply. Drive NPS of farmer partners. Take the ownership of establishing and managing supply operations of collection centers.
- Cost Savings— Monitor and track price trends across markets to arrive at sourcing decisions, strategically optimize supply with sources to improve margins, identify opportunities to reduce costs across the supply side
- Vendor Management— Identify, align and on-board vendors, price negotiation, monthly/ weekly vendor reconciliations, credit cycle management, vendor payments, vendor relationship management, track and monitor vendor scores/performance & develop ways to improve stickiness with Ninjacart
- Team Leadership— Hire and lead vendor managers and procurement managers and the extended team. Nurture the team with right vision and guidance
- Stakeholder Management— Coordinate across various internal stakeholders effectively Quality, Category, Supply Chain & Finance with the ability to influence & drive discussions
Qualifications
A Ninja is resilient, smart, and ambitious. Sounds like you? Here's what you will need to have to join the Ninja Clan:
- 4–9 years of experience in sourcing & vendor management across F&V in Tamil Nadu region
- Academics from Tier 2 / 3 — Graduate or Postgraduate is preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation, analyzing & solutionizing skills
- Self-motivated, agile & ability to adapt to the changing business environments
- Should be fluent in the local language
