Senior Consultant/ Manager - Snowflake Data Engineer

As a Snowflake Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data platforms that enable data-driven decision-making and business transformation.


Work You'll Do

As part of the team, you will:

  • Design, develop, and support data ingestion, transformation, and distribution solutions using Snowflake.
  • Build scalable, efficient, and secure data pipelines leveraging Snowflake best practices.
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using SnapLogic and other integration tools.
  • Design and implement data orchestration workflows using Control-M.
  • Work with SnowSQL, Snowpipe, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) frameworks.
  • Develop robust data integration solutions across Oracle, REST APIs, AWS S3, Azure Storage, and flat-file sources.
  • Design and implement data warehousing solutions and dimensional data models.
  • Develop and optimize SQL, PL/SQL, and Python-based data processing solutions.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Snowflake workloads, warehouse utilization, and query performance.
  • Implement data lineage, metadata management, and governance frameworks using Snowflake ACCOUNT_USAGE and ACCESS_HISTORY.
  • Build Streamlit-based applications and dashboards for data consumption and monitoring.
  • Develop cost attribution and FinOps reporting solutions within Snowflake.
  • Enable DevOps best practices through CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and automated deployments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and client teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and follow SDLC best practices for project execution.

The Team

Our Data & Analytics practice helps clients unlock the value of data by enabling scalable modern data platforms, cloud transformation, advanced analytics, and intelligent automation solutions.


Qualifications Required:

  • 5-8 years of experience in Data Engineering with strong expertise in Snowflake.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, development, and administration.
  • Experience working with SnowSQL, Snowpipe, RBAC, Virtual Warehouses, Cloning, Materialized Views, and Snowflake data loading/unloading processes.
  • Strong expertise in ETL/ELT development using SnapLogic or similar integration platforms.
  • Experience designing data ingestion and orchestration pipelines using Control-M.
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL development experience.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar backend programming languages.
  • Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT design patterns.
  • Experience integrating data from Oracle databases, REST APIs, cloud storage platforms, and flat files.
  • Exposure to CI/CD processes, DevOps practices, and Git version control.
  • Experience working within Agile project delivery environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Client-facing consulting experience.

Preferred:

  • Snowflake Certification (SnowPro or equivalent).
  • Experience in Streamlit application development.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake metadata management, tagging, and data lineage frameworks.
  • Experience in FinOps and cloud cost optimization initiatives.
  • Exposure to Jira, Confluence, and enterprise project management tools.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of functional business processes.
