Job Description
The job responsibilities of a Server Administrator may include:
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining server hardware, operating systems, and associated software applications.
- Monitoring server performance, identifying and resolving performance issues, and ensuring the server is running at optimal performance levels.
- Developing and implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure server data is safe and can be quickly restored in the event of a system failure.
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and access control to ensure that access to the server and its data is secure and appropriate.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as applying software patches, updating antivirus software, and monitoring system logs.
- Responding to user requests for technical assistance and troubleshooting server-related issues.
- Maintaining documentation on server hardware, software, and configuration changes.Experience in server administration, with a deep understanding of server hardware, operating systems, and associated software applications. They should have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
