We are looking for a hands-on Senior Product Engineer Golang to design and build high-performance, cross-platform software components that power our device management platform. This is not a typical backend development role. You ll be responsible for developing platform services, system modules, background agents, and core product components that interact with operating systems, devices, and network services. The ideal candidate has strong Go fundamentals, enjoys systems programming, and is passionate about building performant, reliable software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform services, modules, and product components using Golang.
  • Build scalable and efficient background services that run reliably across differentboperating systems.
  • Develop software that interfaces with operating system APIs, devices, network services, and platform resources.
  • Write highly concurrent applications using Go s concurrency primitives such as goroutines, channels, mutexes, and synchronization packages.
  • Optimize applications for performance, memory efficiency, and low resource utilization.
  • Design and implement robust APIs and service interfaces where required.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues involving concurrency, networking, and system interactions.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
  • Mentor engineers on Go best practices and software design.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong Go fundamentals. You re genuinely fluent in idiomatic Go: interfaces, error handling, the standard library, package design and the toolchain (go test, go vet, profiling, modules).

  • Concurrency is a core strength. You can design and reason about multi-threaded code using goroutines, channels, select, and the sync package (Mutex, WaitGroup, etc.). You understand context for cancellation and deadlines, know how to avoid and detect data races, and have a working mental model of the Go scheduler and memory model.

  • Good understanding of operating system concepts including processes, threads, filesystems, memory management, and inter-process communication.

  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.

  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

  • Product sense. You ask why before how, and you care about the outcome for users.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Go networking libraries (net, net/http) and network programming.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets, gRPC, sockets, or other networking protocols.
  • Experience developing cross-platform applications for Windows, Linux, and/or macOS.
  • Exposure to device communication, system programming, endpoint management, or security products.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development.
  • Basic exposure to frontend/web technologies for building management consoles or supporting UI integrations.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

What We re Looking For

  • A product engineering mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Passion for solving low-level systems and performance challenges.
  • Ability to independently design, build, and own features from concept to production.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
