Job Description

Role & responsibilities


Traffic management


  • Set up approval and recording systems for incoming/outgoing equipment and material; Designate waiting area for vehicles prior to being called into the site; Oversee adherence to the established traffic control systems.
  • Seek support and/or approvals from managers as required for Loading /unloading and shifting of material on the designated location.
  • Maintain record for the IN and out vehicles at gate.
  • Deployment of Flagmans for smooth movement of vehicles

Logistic Management


  • Prepare Logistic Plan and plan all activities accordingly.
  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services
  • Supporting Project team for overall logistics works of the project and assist procurement dept. for accurate delivery of shipments.
  • Plan, organize and manage logistic activities.
  • Monitor operation expenses incurred on the transportation of material.
  • Maintain and support a superior safety and housekeeping program for Day-to-day logistic operations.

Inventory management


  • Coordinate with the Quality team for sample testing of products; Report any quality-rejections to the Store team for subsequent closure of the same with the supplier.
  • Oversee timely allocation and delivery of the material to Construction or sub-contractor team.
  • Coordinating with all concerned suppliers / contractors to ensure receipt/delivery of project materials.
  • Guide subordinates on maintaining and updating inventory records for incoming material and material usage; Review and approve the same for the subordinate to upload on the internet

Resource management


  • Collect information from Construction team on sub-contractor expenses with respect to plant (equipment), labour and fuel.
  • Share the same with commercial team for adjustment against sub-contractor payments.
  • Monitor overall fuel consumption, and labour/plant expenses against plan
  • Seek clarification from Construction team on under-utilisation or over-utilisation of resources.
  • Report any major deviations to the supervisor for subsequent planning and corrective action

Safe Environment


  • Use permit system for loading and unloading of material.
  • Proper stacking of material after unloading of material
  • Use only authorised vehicles and tools for unloading of material.
  • Training to the unloading labour for safe unloading
  • Deployment of flagmen for safe movement of vehicles
  • Responsible for proper parking of vehicles
  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical
  • Total work experience: 10+ years
  • Total relevant experience: 10+ years in logistics management
