Senior Maintenance Manager

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Manage the maintenance of vessels, including barge and fleet maintenance, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Oversee repair and replacement of equipment such as hydraulics, pumps, and spares management to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with vendors for vessel repairs and maintenance activities to ensure timely task completion.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns and extend asset lifespan.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations during all maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to align maintenance strategies with overall business objectives.

Job Requirements :

• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, spares management, and vessel maintenance practices is required.
• Experience in managing fleet maintenance of various types of vessels, including bulk carriers, tugs, and floating cranes.
• Familiarity with class surveys, hull maintenance, and propeller maintenance is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and lead teams to achieve maintenance goals.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• A strong understanding of preventive maintenance principles and practices is essential.
