About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development and enhancement of high-performance post-trade and financial processing platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java-based enterprise application development, distributed systems, and production support within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions for post-trade and financial processing platforms.
• Contribute to platform enhancements across reconciliation, receivables/payables, and trade connectivity systems.
• Translate business and operational requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
• Participate in system design, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to optimize system performance and reliability.
• Support production environments and troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Working knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka and JMS.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and database troubleshooting.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux environments.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment practices.
• Experience in production support, incident management, and RCA.

Must-Have Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software development within enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software engineering best practices.
• Technical expertise in:
• Java
• Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• Hibernate
• SQL
• UNIX/Linux
• Exposure to Cloud Technologies and AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in financial services, capital markets, or post-trade processing platforms.
• Exposure to settlement, reconciliation, or trade lifecycle systems.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud-native application development.
