Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (React + Node)

Join a small, high-impact team building a new asset management SaaS platform from the ground up. You'll work directly with an Australia-based team and be the senior-most engineer shaping the architecture, systems, and engineering standards from day one.

This is a greenfield build with real ownership and long-term impact. You wont just contribute, you'll define how the platform is designed and evolves.

What you'll do

• Set technical direction and make key architectural decisions
• Design and build core backend services using TypeScript (Node/Bun) and PostgreSQL
• Guide frontend and infrastructure direction, working across the stack where needed
• Own and improve engineering practices, including testing, code quality, and reviews
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and help grow the team
• Work with product stakeholders to shape scope and delivery
• Lead incident response and continuously improve system reliability

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with strong ownership in production systems
• Deep backend experience (Node.js/TypeScript or similar)
• Solid frontend experience (React or similar), comfortable contributing when needed
• Strong understanding of system design, APIs, and data modelling
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern deployment practices
• Experience leading technical decisions in a small team environment
• Comfortable working in greenfield environments with ambiguity
• Strong written communication (remote team)

• Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar)
• Multi-tenant SaaS systems
• Real-time data systems or event-driven architecture
• Offline-first or sync-heavy applications
• Mobile experience (React Native or native)
