About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Vue.js Frontend Engineer with 8+ years of experience in front-end development and strong hands-on expertise in Vue.js.
The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable, high-performance enterprise web applications, strong knowledge of Vue 2/3, Composition API, state management, automated testing, and front-end architecture.
This role requires someone who can independently own technical solutions, participate in low-level design discussions, collaborate with product/design/backend/QA teams, and mentor junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, release, and maintain new and existing web applications using Vue.js.
- Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Present and discuss low-level designs, technical approaches, and solution architecture before development.
- Build reusable, maintainable, scalable, and high-quality front-end components.
- Develop responsive, dynamic, accessible, and user-friendly web interfaces.
- Work extensively with Vue 2 and Vue 3, including both Composition API and Options API.
- Design and manage application state using Vuex and/or Pinia.
- Implement routing and navigation using Vue Router.
- Write clean, readable, deterministic unit and integration tests.
- Work with testing frameworks such as Jest, Vue Test Utils, and Cypress.
- Troubleshoot complex UI and production issues across browsers and devices.
- Analyze and improve application performance, page-load time, rendering performance, bundle size, and overall user experience.
- Use production monitoring and error-tracking tools such as Sentry, LogRocket, Datadog, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and follow engineering best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to coding standards and front-end best practices.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical guidance.
- Contribute to CI/CD, deployment, and release processes.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- 8+ years of professional front-end development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Vue.js
- Strong experience with Vue 2 and/or Vue 3
- Strong practical experience with Composition API
- Good understanding of Options API
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript / ES6+
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript preferred
- Hands-on experience with Vuex and/or Pinia
- Strong knowledge of Vue Router
- Strong understanding of Vue component lifecycle and reactivity
- Experience with Jest, Vue Test Utils, Cypress, or equivalent testing frameworks
- Experience building scalable and resilient enterprise web applications
- Strong understanding of reusable component architecture
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
- Strong Git/version-control experience
- Experience troubleshooting and optimizing front-end performance
Enterprise & Architecture Experience
