Senior EHS Officer

Roles and Responsibilities :

Objective 1: Achieve Zero Harm Workplace & Strengthen Safety Culture
Key Result 1: Achieve Zero Fatalities & Zero Lost Time Injuries (LTIs)
Key Result 2: Conduct planned safety inspections & audits (monthly/quarterly)
Key Result 3: Reduce Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR)

Objective 2: Ensure Full Legal & Regulatory Compliance
Key Result 1: Achieve all compliance with applicable EHS legislation
Key Result 2: Close audit findings within agreed timeliness
Key Result 3: Maintain all statutory registers, licenses, and records with zero lapses

Objective 3: Drive Environmental Sustainability & Waste Reduction
Key Result 1: Reduce hazardous waste generation
Key Result 2: Reduce energy consumption per unit production
Key Result 3: Achieve all compliance in emissions, effluent, and waste disposal norms

Objective 4: Strengthen Risk Management & Hazard Control
Key Result 1: Complete entire Job Safety Analysis (JSA) / Risk Assessments for critical operations
Key Result 2: Ensure entire closure of identified hazards within timeline
Key Result 3: Conduct biannual emergency response drills (fire, chemical, etc.

Job Requirements :

• 3-8 years of experience in an EHS role within the Primary : hazardous materials (e.g., lead handling, acid storage, lithium battery risks)
  /sustainability initiatives / Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) programs / contractor safety & permit-towork
  systems
• Strong knowledge of environmental management systems (EMS) principles and implementation methods.
• Proficiency in conducting audits using recognized standards such as OSHA VPP Star or ISO 14001.
