Senior Devops Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage API Gateway and API infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
• Work extensively with Kong Gateway for API management, including routing, security configuration, plugin development and management, and policy enforcement.
• Provide comprehensive support and management for APJ Gateway and related integration platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
• Handle and support ISTEQ Messaging systems and complex messaging/integration workflows, troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance.
• Build, maintain, and enhance automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployment and improve development velocity.
• Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes, ensuring efficient resource utilization and high availability.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.
• Proactively monitor infrastructure and application performance, availability, and reliability, identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact users.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production, deployment, API, and integration issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Development, Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure to achieve project goals.
• Champion and drive DevOps best practices across the organization, focusing on automation, security, scalability, and high availability.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Must-Have Skills

• 712 years of progressive experience in DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure roles.
• Strong hands-on experience and deep understanding of Kong API Gateway.
• Proven experience with API Gateway concepts and API Management platforms.
• Demonstrated experience with APJ Gateway.
• Experience with ISTEQ Messaging systems.
• Strong proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar.
• Expertise in containerization technologies, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell/Bash and/or Python.
• Extensive experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong production support and advanced troubleshooting skills for complex systems.
