Senior Consultant - Data Analytics

• Independently interview stakeholders to understand the business question and converts asks into reporting needs.
• Translate business requirements to use cases with complete data, metric specifications, process/data flows via Visio, aggregated views for data automation and reporting cube needs
• Defines metrics, complex calculations and sources of data in the form of data dictionaries, data source listings, data relationships and more for all data reporting teams
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and data modeling to create on-the-fly data excel models for confirming and validating asks
• Builds prototypes in excel or other tools to brainstorm needs with stakeholders
• Builds best in class Visual Analytics dashboards/ reports to help build the data story in reponse to the business question using PBI and or Tableau
• Should have strong SQL skills, preferably over Postgre or SQL Server.
• Strong Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts
• Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents
• Identify and lead improvement opportunities
• Work with team members, stakeholders and end users to ensure business questions are answered and is delivered according to schedule and with the required functionality
• Ensures business deliverables are met on time consistently with highest quality
• Defines acceptance criteria, test plans and provide feedback on solutions as and when necessary
• Apply industry standard UI design, data lake needs, to assist in providing optimum solutions
• Follows Agile development processes(via JIRA) and uses Confluence to document everything as requested
• Strong communication with immediate manager and business users and documents tasks, challenges, recommendations, solutions and tracks all changes through the life cycle of the project
• Organizes information effectively and efficiently consistently

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS-

• Documentation of reporting requirements, data dictionaries, data source list, data relationships, business rules and more via conflucence
• Manages project solution life cycle via Jira and confluence
• Understand Agile process to create the needed user stories and specifications
• Strong SQL and advanced PBI skills. ( existing knowledge of best charting visualizations a MUST)
• Hands on experience with PBI, Tableau. Knowledge of Microsoft Onelake experience a big plus
• Faciliates and explores clear business requirements. Understands the unspoken needs and ability to clearly articulate the same via a business data story
• Clearly articulates data lake needs via visio
• Creates What-If senarios via PBI and Excel, Product mix similar models and ability to provide deep insights with every dashboard built consistently every week.
• Prepares Acceptance test for all requirements
• Produces Status reports, production planning reports and other project-related documentation

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE -

• Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, Data Science or Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or other similar degrees,
• 6+ years of experience working in Data Analytics, Product Management, Business Analytics, or in a different related field
• Expert Experience using PBI,Visio, Miro, Any wireframing tools, JIRA, Confulence and strong data interpretation skills
• Experience with SQL, Advancd Excel, Data Lakes, Azure, AWS, Excel Macros and more
• Knowledge of trending and effective charting packages for PBI
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
• Prior Agile process experience a MUST
