Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior AI E-commerce Engineer to lead the design and implementation of intelligent systems across our digital commerce platforms. This role demands deep expertise in AI/ML with a strong focus on personalization, recommendation engines, dynamic pricing, and predictive analytics to drive superior customer experience and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy end-to-end AI/ML solutions tailored to e-commerce use cases including product recommendation, search optimization, customer segmentation, and inventory forecasting.
- Develop intelligent systems for dynamic pricing and promotions based on customer behavior, market trends, and competitor analysis.
- Integrate advanced NLP for product categorization, user reviews analysis, and conversational AI (chatbots, voice assistants).
- Lead data architecture discussions and optimize data pipelines for model training and deployment.
- Collaborate with product managers, data engineers, frontend/backend teams to integrate AI features into user-facing platforms.
- Implement A/B testing and performance monitoring of models in production environments.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to AI/ML knowledge sharing within the organization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in AI/ML development, with a minimum of 3 years in e-commerce or retail-tech.
- Strong programming skills in Python and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn .
- Experience with recommendation systems , customer lifetime value models , search relevance , and demand forecasting .
- Proficiency in data manipulation , feature engineering , ETL pipelines , and working with large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and tools like Airflow, Kafka, or Spark .
- Expertise in RESTful API integration , microservices , and MLOps pipelines (CI/CD for ML models).
- Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and responsible AI practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field.
- Experience with personalized marketing , visual search using computer vision , or AR-based shopping .
- Familiarity with platforms like Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce , or custom-built e-commerce engines.
- Prior experience leading a team or managing AI projects end-to-end.
