SAP Basis Consultant

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and maintain SAP Basis infrastructure on HANA and NetWeaver platforms.
• Provide technical support for ECC (Electronic Customer Control) modules, including troubleshooting issues and resolving problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions using BW (Business Warehouse) tools.
• Ensure high availability of SAP systems by performing regular maintenance tasks such as backups, patching, and monitoring.

Job Requirements :

• Should have excellent SAP Basis Support Project experience with latest SAP Business Suites (Netweaver &/or S/4 HANA) and HANA & Sybase as database

  Must have knowledge of High Availability & DC & DR Replication setup and administration for HANA and Sybase (ASE) as database

  SAP:

  Experience of Handling SAP Netweaver & S/4HANA On-premise Support project in an HA & DC/DR setup with HANA & Sybase as DB on Linux platform

  Should be able to handle all day-to-day SAP Basis related activities – from SAP, OS and database (HANA & Sybase), which include, but not limited to, following:

  SAP System installation & SAP version upgrade

  System refresh (HANA & Sybase as DB) with PRD DB copy (backup restore method)

  SAP Support patch update (BASIS, BW, HR etc.) and Add-ons installation

  SAP Kernel update

  SAP Note implementation

  SAP Transport Management

  Backup & recovery setup and troubleshooting if any issue

  DC & DR Site log replication setup and monitoring for HANA & Sybase as database

  Monitoring the SAP system for health and performance issues

  Troubleshooting all Basis issues, related with system performance and it’s effective working

  Batch job administration

  Spool administration

  BW specific tasks and issues troubleshooting

  XI/PI related administration work

  OpenText component management (Basis related tasks)

  Web dispatcher Administration

  SSO & SSL Certificate setup and certificate renewal

  Handling of OS cron jobs and it’s scheduling

  Database:

  Very good experience in HANA 2.0 database & Sybase (ASE): Administration, maintenance & performance management & tuning

  HANA DB & Sybase version and patch upgrade/update

  Must have Experience in monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of SAP HANA systems

  HANA system administration using SAP HANA Cockpit and HANA Studio.

  Experience in managing users and roles in SAP HANA system.

  Implementing SAP HANA Security mechanism (User & Role management)

  Additional knowledge of MS SQL and MAXDB is very good to have

  DB backup, restore & recovery operation from both - DB tools and OS level commands

  Solution manager:

  Should have experience on Solman system setup from scratch

  EWA configuration for SAP systems and it’s troubleshooting
