We are seeking an experienced Release Engineer with strong Python development and DevOps expertise to manage, automate, and optimize software release processes. The role focuses on ensuring smooth, reliable, and timely releases across multiple environments while collaborating closely with development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities-
Own and manage end-to-end release management for applications across development, test, and production environments.

Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python to streamline build, release, and deployment processes.

Design, implement, and improve CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable releases.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, Infra, Product) to plan and execute releases.

Manage release calendars, versioning, branching strategies, and deployment schedules.

Ensure compliance with release governance, change management, and audit requirements.

Troubleshoot and resolve build, deployment, and release issues.

Monitor post-release performance and support rollback strategies when required.

Maintain release documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.

Drive continuous improvement in DevOps and release engineering practices.

4+ years of experience as a Release Engineer / DevOps Engineer.

Strong hands-on experience with Python scripting and automation.

Proven experience in release management in complex, multi-environment setups.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).

Experience with source control and branching strategies (Git, GitFlow).

Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems.

Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is preferred.

Understanding of ITIL / Change Management processes.
