READER

The Reader in the Department of Bachelor of Dental Surgery will play a key role in facilitating the colleges vision and mission by providing high-quality education and training to students. The ideal candidate should have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and a passion for advancing the field of dentistry.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting lectures, seminars, and practical classes in the subject of specialization
• Guiding and supervising students in the clinical and laboratory settings
• Developing and delivering course content, assignments, and assessments
• Conducting research and publishing scholarly articles in reputable journals
• Participating in departmental and institutional activities such as meetings, committees, and events
• Mentoring and supporting junior faculty members in the department
• Maintaining records of student attendance, progress, and evaluations
• Contributing to the development and implementation of academic policies and programs

Qualification:

• A Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degree in Bachelor of dental surgery or equivalent
• Minimum of 4 years of teaching experience in Prosthodontics at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
• Experience in teaching at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
• Specialization in a dental field such as Endodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, or Oral Surgery
• Teaching experience in a recognized dental college or university
• Demonstrated research skills and a record of publications in reputable journals
• Strong communication skills for presenting lectures, giving demonstrations, and providing feedback to students
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the institution
