Job Description

Department of Physiology is seeking an experienced and dedicated Reader to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, conducting research, and contributing to the academic and professional development of our students. The Reader will work closely with colleagues in the department to develop and deliver high-quality teaching programs and research activities that align with the colleges vision and mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering high-quality teaching programs in physiology for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Conducting research and publishing scholarly articles in reputable academic journals.
  • Contributing to the development of the departments research strategy and securing research funding.
  • Mentoring and advising students in academic and research matters.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to design and develop innovative teaching and learning materials that engage students and promote learning outcomes.
  • Participating in departmental and institutional committees and contributing to academic and administrative activities.

Qualifications:

  • Post graduate degree(M.D.S)in Microbiology or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience teaching and conducting research in Physiology.
  • A record of research publications in reputable academic journals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a commitment to academic and professional development.
