The Department of Microbiology at JKKN College of Dental and Hospital is seeking a Reader with a passion for teaching, research, and innovation. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching microbiology to undergraduate and graduate students, conducting research in the field of microbiology, and providing guidance and mentorship to students and junior faculty members.

Responsibilities:

• Teach microbiology to undergraduate and graduate students
• Develop and revise course content and instructional materials
• Conduct research in the field of microbiology and publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals
• Collaborate with other researchers and faculty members on interdisciplinary research projects
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students and junior faculty members
• Serve on departmental and institutional committees and participate in departmental and institutional events
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in microbiology research and technology
• Participate in grant writing and securing funding for research projects

Qualifications:

• Post graduate degree (M.D.S)in microbiology or equivalent qualification
• A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the university level
• A strong record of teaching excellence and research productivity
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience with grant writing and securing funding for research projects
• Knowledge of ethical considerations in research, including informed consent, data privacy, and confidentiality
