Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiology Technician with hands-on experience in MRI and CT Scan operations. The candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with radiation safety protocols.


Role & responsibilities


  • Perform MRI and CT scan procedures as per physician prescriptions and departmental protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging examinations while ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Operate MRI and CT equipment efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Screen patients for MRI contraindications, including implants, pacemakers, and metallic objects.
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles during CT procedures.
  • Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies.
  • Maintain imaging records and ensure accurate patient documentation.
  • Assist radiologists in contrast-enhanced studies and other specialized imaging procedures.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and routine quality checks of imaging equipment.
  • Adhere to NABH, AERB, and hospital policies related to diagnostic imaging.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Diploma/B.Sc. in Radiology, Medical Imaging Technology, or equivalent from a recognised institution.
  • Valid registration with the applicable State Paramedical Council (where applicable).
  • Minimum 25 years of experience in operating both MRI and CT scan equipment in a hospital or diagnostic centre.
  • Experience in handling contrast studies and emergency imaging cases will be an added advantage.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in MRI and CT scan operations.
  • Good knowledge of anatomy, imaging protocols, and patient positioning.
  • Understanding of radiation safety and infection control practices.
  • Strong communication and patient-handling skills.
  • Ability to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and emergency duties.
