Overview
Quality Lab is a private, independent laboratory that is accredited according to NS-EN ISO/IEC 17025. Quality Lab offers an extensive range of metallurgical and mechanical test services. Quality Lab has a team of highly qualified personnel who have long experience in metallurgy, welding inspection, material testing and steel production. Our experience in steel production know-how means that we can help our customers make the optimum choice of materials and methods to achieve the highest possible quality in questions relating to materials. Our aim is to provide the best possible service, maintain a high professional level and be one of the preferred laboratories in Norway. Mechanical Testing Quality Lab carries out a number of mechanical tests and has a special engineering workshop for taking samples. We test in accordance with most standards methods, tests can also be performed according to the customer's own specification. Metalographical Testing We have personnel with long experience in metallurgy and metallography. With our know-how we will be able to provide our customers with a deeper understanding of the material's qualities. Metallography is used in connection with material verifications, welding procedures, damage assessments, heat treatment, requalification / recertification. Damage analysis The industry is constantly experiencing that equipment does not meet expectations. We used a combination of analysis, visual inspection, physical tests and experience to identify the cause. A metallurgist thoroughly ecaluates all aspects of the damage and gives a conclusion and a recommended solution. Consultancy Quality Lab can be a good partner in solving the problems with material and problems associated with quality. Our personnel have many years of experience and will give recommendations with regard to choice of materials, welding, heat treatment, etc.
