Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer - Trainee
Location: Mohali
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer - Trainee with 1+ years of experience in manual testing , specializing in testing web, mobile, and API-based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of STLC, testing methodologies, and defect management , with the ability to work in an Agile environment. While the primary focus will be on manual testing, a basic understanding of automation testing tools and frameworks (such as Selenium, TestNG, or Cypress) will be considered a plus point .
Role Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for web, mobile, and API-based applications.
- Conduct functional, regression, exploratory, load, and system testing to ensure product quality.
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Gitlab, etc ).
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to resolve issues efficiently.
- Review system requirements and create test documentation (test plans, test cases, test reports).
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
- Support process improvements in QA and contribute to enhancing the overall test strategy .
- Provide basic assistance in automation test script creation if required.
You Should Have
- 1+ years of hands-on QA experience in manual testing (Web, Mobile, API).
- Strong knowledge of STLC, testing methodologies, and defect life cycle .
- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments .
- Good understanding of testing techniques and types (functional, regression, smoke, sanity, UAT, Load testing).
- Practical exposure to API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger, etc).
- Basic knowledge of automation testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.) will be considered a
