QA Engineer - Manual and Automation

Only Mumbai based western line (Churchgate to Palghar) candidates preferred

Role & responsibilities

1. Automation Framework Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation test frameworks from scratch.
• Identify suitable automation tools and technologies based on project requirements.
• Build reusable automation scripts for web and API testing.
• Integrate automated test suites into the CI/CD pipeline.

2. Test Planning & Execution

• Analyze business requirements and technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases.
• Prepare and maintain test data for automation and regression testing.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing.

3. Bug Identification & Reporting

• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.
• Collaborate closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure production readiness.

4. Automation Strategy & Process Improvement

• Drive automation adoption across projects.
• Continuously improve testing processes and automation coverage.
• Recommend tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve QA efficiency.
• Monitor automation execution and maintain test stability.

5. Mentoring & Knowledge Sharing

• Mentor and guide QA engineers in automation testing.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and code reviews.
• Assist team members in writing efficient automation scripts.
• Promote QA best practices and quality standards across the organization.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain automation documentation, test plans, and test execution reports.
• Track automation coverage and testing metrics.
• Present test status and quality reports to stakeholders.

7. Collaboration & Product Quality

• Work closely with Developers and Product Managers.
• Participate in requirement discussions and sprint planning.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software releases.

Required Skills

• 2 - 5 years of experience in Software Testing with strong Automation Testing expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright.
• Proficiency in Java or C# for automation scripting.
• Experience with TestNG, JUnit, or NUnit.
• Knowledge of API Testing using Postman or Rest Assured.
• Experience with SQL for database validation.
• Hands-on experience with Git version control.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
