We are looking for a QA Engineer with 3+ years experience with strong expertise in e-commerce financial systems, specifically payments, settlements, and reconciliation workflows. The candidate should have hands-on experience in API and UI automation and a deep understanding of financial data validation and transaction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Finance, Settlement & Reconciliation Testing
o Validate end-to-end financial flows:
Payment Authorization Capture Settlement
Refunds, reversals, chargebacks
o Perform reconciliation testing:
Order vs Payment vs Settlement reports
Ensure accuracy of financial data:
Transaction amounts, fees, commissions
Taxes, discounts, currency conversions
o identify and validate settlement rules
o Validate daily/periodic settlement reports and payout files
API Automation
o Develop automation for:
Settlement and reconciliation services
Financial reporting APIs
o Validate:
API responses, data consistency, error handling
o Tools: Rest Assured, Postman, Karate, Playwright
UI Testing
o Automate and validate UI for:
Finance dashboards (reports, settlements, invoices)
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and data consistency with backend
o Tools: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress
Data Validation & Analysis
o Perform backend/database validation for financial transactions
o Validate large datasets and reports using SQL
o Cross-check ledger entries vs transaction records
AI/GenAI in QA
o Use AI/GenAI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT) to:
Generate test cases and automation scripts
Create test data for reconciliation, settlement, and invoice scenarios
o Validate and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness
o Use AI for test optimization and defect analysis
Quality & Collaboration
o Work closely with Finance, Product, and Engineering teams
o Ensure high coverage for business-critical financial flows
o Participate in release validation and production sanity checks
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience in:
o Settlement lifecycle
o Reconciliation systems
o Refunds, chargebacks, payouts
o Understanding of Financial reporting and transaction logs financial reporting and
transaction logs
o Experience detecting financial discrepancies
Technical Skills
o Strong experience in:
API Automation Testing
UI Automation Testing
o Programming: Java / Python / JavaScript
o Strong SQL skills for data validation
o Knowledge of:
REST APIs, JSON, HTTP
CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
PostgreSQL
o Version control: Git
o AI/ML / GenAI
Experience using GenAI tools for test/code generation
Ability to validate AI-generated automation and test cases
o Exposure to event-driven or microservices architectures
Good to Have
o Experience with high-volume transaction systems
o Knowledge of accounting basics (ledger, journal entries
