QA Automation with Playwright

We are seeking a Test Automation Lead with deep expertise in Playwright to drive quality engineering in a Shift-Left development environment . The ideal candidate will lead automation strategy, design robust test frameworks, and ensure early and continuous testing across the SDLC. This role demands hands-on leadership, technical excellence, and the ability to work independently without dedicated QA support.

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript or C#).
• Champion Shift-Left testing by integrating automated tests early in the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps to embed testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Define and implement test strategies for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Mentor junior automation engineers and promote best practices in test automation and code quality.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and drive continuous improvement in test coverage and reliability.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience with Playwright for web automation (TypeScript/JavaScript or C#).
• Strong understanding of Shift-Left testing , TDD/BDD, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs, browser automation, and cross-browser testing.
• Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
• Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).
• ISTQB or equivalent certification is a bonus.
