Job Description – Python Automation Engineer (Python + Playwright)
Location: Bangalore / Mumbai
Experience: 4 Years
Overview
We are looking for a skilled Python Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in
Playwright to join a leading customer captive technology organization. The role involves
designing and developing robust automation frameworks, improving test efficiency, and
ensuring high-quality software delivery across enterprise applications. Experience
working in Agile environments and collaborating with global teams is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Python and
Playwright.
Build and execute automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
Perform functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to
understand requirements and define test strategies.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and support issue resolution.
Improve automation coverage, framework scalability, and execution efficiency.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement
initiatives.
Required Skills
Strong programming expertise in Python.
Hands-on experience with Playwright automation.
Experience in UI and API testing.
Knowledge of PyTest, REST APIs, SQL, and Git.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

Understanding of Page Object Model (POM), data-driven frameworks, and
automation best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in Selenium or other test automation tools.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Capital Markets, or other enterprise
domains.
Knowledge of containerization and DevOps practices.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or
equivalent.
4+ years of experience in test automation with at least 2+ years of Playwright
experience
