Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Chemistry Professor to join the Department of Science and Humanity at JKKN College of Engineering and Technology. The successful candidate will play a critical role in advancing the colleges vision of becoming a leading global innovator in the field of engineering and technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Chemistry
  • Develop and maintain an active research program in Chemistry
  • Mentor and advise students in the department
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the department and across the college to develop interdisciplinary programs and initiatives
  • Participate in college-wide committees and initiatives
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental and college-wide policies and procedures
  • Engage in professional development activities to remain current in the field

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Chemistry or a related field such as Materials Science, Biochemistry, Environmental Chemistry, or Physical Chemistry
  • Record of excellence in teaching and research in Chemistry
  • Strong commitment to student mentorship and advising
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive departmental culture
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to contribute to the development and implementation of departmental and college-wide policies and procedures
