Polaris provides the industry's most comprehensive Platform as a Service for smart electricity metering systems that enable utilities to radically reduce power distribution losses and manage their infrastructure digitally. Our intelligent, state of the art smart energy meter platform allows utilities to digitize and automate 100% of their metering, billing, and collection activities, and leverage AI/ML to enable faster & better decisions on how to manage large and distributed power infrastructure by plugging theft, leakages and inefficiencies on the grid. Our platform is integrable with any smart energy meter on the market, which is why we’re building it with the aim of becoming the Android for billions of meters worldwide.
We were founded out of Berkeley, California and have achieved strong traction in this high barrier industry in a short period of time. We executed India’s first privately funded smart metering project, are working in tough but beautiful terrains like Ladakh and Kargil and, in addition to the national grid, also helping large businesses like Subway, OYO, Chilies, and several more to reduce their energy costs by up to 30% month on month. The company’s received widespread international recognition including being selected by NASA among the top 10 cleantech innovations around the world. Our founder has been on the Forbes 30 under 30 list, and was also awarded by India’s Prime Minister for his work in power distribution.
The company’s backed with USD 150M of capital from I Squared Capital – a USB 50 Billion global private equity fund focused on infrastructure. We are strongly positioned to become a market leader in the smart grid industry and are changing the way electricity is managed and consumed in India!
