Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes for loading data into the Data Warehouse.
  • Create and maintain data models, fact tables, dimension tables, and staging areas.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical database solutions.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple source systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance, data integrity, and data quality issues.
  • Conduct query tuning and performance optimization using Oracle tools and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, Reporting Teams, and stakeholders.
  • Support data migration, data validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Prepare technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and deployment procedures.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and production support activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
  • Hands-on experience with Data Warehouse concepts including:
    • Star Schema
    • Snowflake Schema
    • Fact & Dimension Modeling
    • Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)
    • Data Marts
  • Experience in ETL development and data integration.
  • Strong SQL query writing and performance tuning skills.
  • Experience with Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c or higher.
  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques and database design.
  • Experience with scheduling tools such as Oracle Scheduler, Autosys, or Control-M.
  • Familiarity with reporting and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or OBIEE.
  • Understanding of data quality, data validation, and reconciliation processes.
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
