Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled PL/SQL Developer with strong expertise in Oracle Database, Unix Shell Scripting, and experience in the Banking/Financial Services domain. The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting data processing applications, database objects, and batch workflows while ensuring high performance, data integrity, and compliance with banking standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL programs, packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and database objects.
- Develop and support Unix Shell Scripts for automation, batch processing, file transfers, and system monitoring activities.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions for banking applications.
- Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code to improve application and database performance.
- Perform data analysis, data validation, and troubleshooting of production issues.
- Support end-to-end batch processing, ETL activities, and reporting requirements.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, QA teams, and application support teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Monitor production environments and provide quick resolution for incidents and service requests.
- Conduct code reviews and follow established coding standards and best practices.
- Prepare technical design documents, deployment plans, and operational support documentation.
- Participate in release deployment, application migration, and production support activities.
- Ensure adherence to banking security, audit, compliance, and data governance requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
- Expertise in writing complex queries, stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (Korn Shell, Bash, or Shell Script).
- Experience in job scheduling tools such as Autosys, Control-M, or Cron.
- Knowledge of database performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
- Experience in handling large-volume transactional data.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and release management processes.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git, SVN, or Bitbucket.
