Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in LoadRunner to design, develop, and execute performance and load testing for enterprise applications.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing.
- Develop and maintain performance test scripts using Micro Focus/OpenText LoadRunner.
- Perform script recording, correlation, parameterization, and scripting enhancements.
- Design workload models and define performance test scenarios based on business requirements.
- Execute performance test runs and analyze results to identify bottlenecks and performance issues.
- Monitor application, database, server, and infrastructure performance during test execution.
- Analyze CPU, memory, response time, throughput, TPS, error rates, and resource utilization.
- Work closely with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot performance issues.
- Prepare performance test reports and provide recommendations for performance improvements.
- Participate in performance test planning, estimation, execution, and reporting.
- Support performance testing in Agile/Scrum environments.
Required skills and Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with LoadRunner / LoadRunner Professional.
- Good knowledge of LoadRunner VuGen, Controller, and Analysis.
- Strong experience in correlation, parameterization, checkpoints, and scripting.
- Experience in HTTP/HTTPS and web-based application performance testing.
- Good understanding of performance testing concepts and methodologies.
- Experience with SQL and database performance analysis.
- Good understanding of client-server architecture, APIs, and web technologies.
- Experience in analyzing performance bottlenecks and preparing performance reports.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with JMeter, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, or Splunk.
- Knowledge of REST API performance testing.
- Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS/Azure.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and performance testing automation.
