Job Title: Deputy Manager IT Infra (L2)

Role: WebLogic Middleware Administrator (L2) Scania IT

Experience: 5 10 Years

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle WebLogic Administrator (L2) to manage and support enterprise-level middleware environments within the automobile domain. The role involves L2/L3 operational support, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and secure operation of mission-critical applications running on Oracle WebLogic Server.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 operational support for Oracle WebLogic environments (Admin Managed Servers across domains)
  • Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain WebLogic across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production environments
  • Manage domain creation, clustering, and high availability configurations
  • Perform JVM tuning, performance optimization, and capacity planning
  • Deploy and manage JAR, WAR, and EAR applications
  • Configure and manage WebLogic domains, clusters, and server instances
  • Monitor system performance and set up alerts, dashboards, and health checks
  • Troubleshoot issues across application, middleware, OS, and infrastructure layers
  • Manage JDBC, data sources, JMS queues, and connection pools
  • Configure SSL/TLS, keystores, truststores, and certificate lifecycle management
  • Integrate WebLogic with LDAP/Active Directory and SSO mechanisms
  • Ensure platform stability, uptime, and SLA compliance
  • Execute incident, problem, and change management (ITIL aligned)
  • Perform security patching and vulnerability remediation (PSU/CPU updates)
  • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and RCA documentation (P1/P2 incidents)
  • Support release cycles, deployments, and environment setup
  • Collaborate with Dev, Infra, DBA, and Security teams
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support containerized deployments (OpenShift/Kubernetes) where applicable

Core Technical Skills

Primary Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle WebLogic Server (12c/14c)
  • Expertise in:
    • Domain configuration administration
    • Clustering high availability
    • Managed Servers Node Manager setup
    • Application deployment lifecycle management

Secondary Skills

  • JVM tuning and performance optimization
  • Middleware troubleshooting

Additional Technical Skills

  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware, Apache, Tomcat, OHS
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • WebLogic Administration Console
    • SSL/TLS, PKI, and security configurations
    • Identity integration (LDAP/SSO)
  • Exposure to DevOps tools and container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes)
