Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our Oracle database systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high performance, availability, and security of databases, as well as supporting development, testing, and production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software.
- Create and maintain database structures (tablespaces, tables, indexes, etc.).
- Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.
- Manage database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures (RMAN, Data Pump, etc.).
- Implement and maintain database security (roles, privileges, encryption).
- Monitor database health and respond to system alerts.
- Automate routine database tasks using scripts or tools.
- Apply patches and updates to Oracle databases as needed.
- Support application developers in query tuning, schema design, and data integrity.
- Plan and implement high availability and replication strategies (e.g., Data Guard, RAC).
- Document processes, configurations, and changes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle 11g/12c/19c and related tools.
- Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Familiarity with backup and recovery tools such as RMAN.
- Understanding of database performance tuning and optimization.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
