Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle databases.
- Monitor database performance, availability, and storage utilization.
- Support database backup, recovery, and restoration activities using Oracle RMAN.
- Perform routine database health checks and troubleshooting.
- Assist in user management, roles, privileges, and database security administration.
- Support database patching and upgrades under senior DBA guidance.
- Monitor database alerts, logs, and error messages.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and operational activities.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to resolve database-related issues.
- Ensure adherence to backup, recovery, and security policies.
- Basic understanding of Oracle Database Architecture.
- Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
- Understanding of database backup and recovery concepts.
- Familiarity with Oracle RMAN, Data Pump (expdp/impdp), and SQL*Plus.
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix commands.
- Understanding of database security concepts.
