Trader-in-Residence Trading Platform & Product Testing

Job Summary:

Navia Markets is looking for an active Options / Futures / Commodity Trader to join our team as a Trader-in-Residence.

You will trade on Navia's platform, test new features in real market conditions, identify trading-platform issues, and work closely with Product and Engineering teams to improve the overall trading experience.

This is not a traditional QA role. We are looking for someone who genuinely trades and can evaluate a platform from a trader's perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

• Trade regularly on Navia across Index/Stock Options, Futures and Commodities.
• Test and evaluate features such as Chart Trader, Scalper, Option Chain, Expiry Trader, OTM Trader and Order/Position Management.
• Identify issues related to latency, execution, usability, order workflows, market data and platform performance.
• Stress-test the platform during expiry days, high-volatility markets, rapid price movements and illiquid strikes.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to Product, Engineering and UX teams.
• Compare Navia's platform with other broker terminals and recommend improvements.
• Participate in product discussions and help shape features based on real trading requirements.

Candidate Profile:

• Active trader with strong experience in Options, F&O and/or Commodities.
• Practical experience with intraday, scalping, positional or expiry-day trading.
• Good understanding of Option Chain, Greeks, Market Depth, Order Types and Order Management.
• Experience using multiple trading platforms/brokers such as Zerodha, Dhan, Upstox, Angel One, Groww, 5paisa or similar.
• Strong ability to identify and explain trading-platform usability and performance issues.
• Comfortable working with Product and Engineering teams and providing direct feedback.
• Willing to work from Chennai office and support market/commodity trading hours when required.

Good to Have:

• Experience with MCX / Commodity Futures & Options.
• Experience across multiple F&O expiry cycles.
• Experience with scalping or high-frequency manual trading.
• Experience in broker/platform beta testing or structured product feedback.
