Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Pre-Operative Duties
- Prepare operation theatre before surgery.
- Check functioning of OT equipment, lights, suction apparatus, cautery, monitors, and anesthesia machines.
- Arrange sterile surgical instruments, drapes, linen, and consumables.
- Ensure sterilization of instruments as per infection control protocol.
- Assist in patient shifting and positioning for surgery.
Intra-Operative Duties
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during procedures.
- Provide required instruments and materials promptly.
- Maintain sterile field throughout surgery.
- Handle surgical equipment safely.
- Monitor OT supplies and maintain smooth workflow.
Post-Operative Duties
- Clean and disinfect OT after procedures.
- Send instruments for sterilization.
- Dispose biomedical waste as per hospital guidelines.
- Prepare OT for next surgery.
- Maintain records of procedures and equipment usage.
Preferred candidate profile
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / Certificate in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT)
OR - B.Sc. Operation Theatre Technology
Experience
- 13 years experience in hospital OT preferred.
- Fresh candidates with OTT certification may be considered.

- Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures
