Job Description
A nursing educator in a hospital plans, delivers, and evaluates professional development, orientation, and ongoing clinical training for nursing staff.
Role & responsibilities
- Onboarding & Orientation: Design and conduct orientation programs for newly hired nurses and manage clinical rotations for students.
- Continuing Education: Plan and deliver in-service training sessions on new medical equipment, clinical procedures, and updated safety protocols.
- Competency Assessment: Evaluate the clinical performance and skill competencies of nursing personnel through direct observation and testing.
- Evidence-Based Practice: Translate current medical research and clinical guidelines into practical, bedside applications to improve patient outcomes.
- Mentorship & Support: Guide and mentor floor nurses and nursing students to build confidence and bridge knowledge gaps.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of training attendance, competency checklists, and educational compliance records.

GNM, B.Sc., M.Sc. with Nursing Educator Experience in big hospital
