Job Description
Primary Responsibility: Percent of Time Spent on Task (1-100%)
- Plan, design and implement Networking solutions and resolve a wide range
of complex issues using professional concepts and company policies and
procedures.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires
evaluation of identifiable factors
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine
appropriate action.
- Taking over on incidents escalated by Level 2 support and/or customers as
per documented guidelines.
- Remote testing/triage to validate alert/event/incident.
- Working with customer/vendor specialists to isolate and resolve higher
level network issues, not localized to single sites.
- Escalating with vendors/customers and troubleshooting issues with their
specialists to work through critical/escalated/chronic/aging issues to
resolution.
- Performing triage/troubleshooting with field engineers during site visits and
vendor meets to identify/resolve advanced device hardware, configuration
and/or software/IOS issues.

- Conduct and provide RCAs to customers for major incidents, critical
escalations & chronic/repetitive issues.
- Provide technical network consultant services for the customer.
- Leading testing, implementation, validation and all technical aspects of
change management.
- Leading all technical aspects of problem management. 20%
- Providing support for tools audit and QA activities being performed by Team Leads & Management.
- Providing training to Level I and II associates.
- Building and managing the knowledge base (including creation of network
topology maps & design documents).
- Lead technical panel for hiring of Level 2/3 associates.
- Lead all technical aspects of service transitions. 20%
- Allocate time and tasks in the Time Reporting System

Education & Experience
Minimum Requirements typically required for someone to be performing fully (competent) in this job:
Level of Formal Education: Professional degree and/or expert certification or technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Area of Study: IT, or other relevant areas
Years of Experience: 8+ years
Type of Experience: • Significant related work experience on Cisco product line, including Cisco router/switches/Security Appliances/SD-WAN. • Detailed knowledge and experience with complex network and security design for large enterprise environments • TCP/IP network administration experience. • Experience administering BGP an OSPF routing protocols • Experience of Cloud Infrastructure (Azure or AWS) • Load Balancing Experience (F5 / Cisco) • Experience performing in depth network, system and application performance troubleshooting and protocol analysis
Special Certifications:
(CPA, Etc.) • CCNP, CCIE • Professional level, or a single specialist/expert level, training & certifications in data networking by any leading vendor, i.e., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Meraki, Checkpoint, Palo Alto. • Professional/Expert level certifications in multiple specific/specialized networking skills (InfoSec, Voice, Wireless, Data Center, Cloud, Service Provider, SD-WAN etc.) • Cloud certification (Azure or AWS) • ITIL v5 Foundation training/certification.
Language Skills: • Written and Oral English
Technical Competencies: • Experience in scripting and automation. • Knowledge/understanding of SDN and other futuristic Cloud based network deployments. • Knowledge/understanding of IoT and RPA concepts. • Ability to work independently and skilled in exercising a high degree of initiative, independent judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives.
