Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Administrator to manage and support the organization s IT infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient technology operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing enterprise networks, servers, cloud services, endpoint security, user administration, and IT assets within a software development environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining business continuity and information security.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file servers, and virtualization platforms.
- Monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, and network infrastructure.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of IT systems and services.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and routine maintenance.
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support for hardware, software, network, and application issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding activities, including user account creation, access provisioning, and asset allocation.
- Resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLAs.
- Administer Microsoft 365/Google Workspace environments.
- Manage email services, Teams/Slack, SharePoint, OneDrive, and collaboration platforms.
- Support cloud identity management and security configurations.
- Assist with cloud infrastructure administration on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud as required.
- Implement and maintain endpoint protection, antivirus, encryption, and device management solutions.
- Enforce IT security policies, password standards, and access controls.
- Monitor security alerts and coordinate remediation activities.
- Support compliance initiatives such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, or other applicable standards.
- Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
IT Asset & License Management
- Maintain inventory of IT hardware, software, and software licenses.
- Track procurement, warranty, maintenance contracts, and asset lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors for procurement, warranty claims, and technical support.
Network Administration
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
- Implement network security measures and VPN access.
- Maintain documentation of network architecture and configurations.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain IT policies, SOPs, user guides, and technical documentation.
- Maintain system configuration records and change management documentation.
- Participate in IT audits and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
Strategic & Partnerships
- Coordinate with hardware, software, internet, and cloud service providers.
- Evaluate and recommend IT solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Support IT infrastructure upgrade and digital transformation projects.
- Manage IT budgets related to hardware, software, and infrastructure where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT Administration, System Administration, or Infrastructure Support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux administration, and Active Directory.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of endpoint management and security tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified, Azure Administrator, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Cisco CCNA, VMware VCP, ITIL Foundation, or CompTIA Network+/Security+.
- Experience supporting software development teams and DevOps environments.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, JAMF, or SCCM.
- Experience with SIEM, monitoring, or log management tools.
