MSS Mainframe Developer

Project description

The role requires Banking domain experience, preferably in Mortgage area. The role requires strong development experience in mainframe technologies like COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, Pacbase, and Assembler along with strong analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test Mainframe applications using COBOL, Pacbase, and Assembler
• Develop and maintain online (CICS) and batch applications using JCL
• Work extensively with VSAM files and sequential datasets
• Work in Banking domain with knowledge on Mortgage Banking
• Perform requirement analysis, technical design, coding testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve post implementation production incidents, including performance and abend analysis
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and production support teams
• Ensure adherence to coding standards and ability to main documentation up to date as compliance requirements

Skills

Must have

• Around 8+ years of Experience in Mainframe technologies in Support, Maintenance, and development projects.
• Proficient in analysing and translating business requirements to technical requirements and architecture.
• Hands on experience in IBM Z/OS: COBOL, DB2, JCL, CICS, VSAM, Assembler, Pacbase.
• Hands-on experience in Agile process/project.
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance Methodologies and Strategies with a better understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, self-motivated, quick learner.
• Experienced in working on ITIL Framework processes
• Incident management, Service management, Problem management, and Change Management process.
• Experienced in working on an on-site/offshore model for coordination.
