Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience with middleware technologies such as WebSphere, MQ, Tomcat, or
similar.
Strong experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud including cloud-based
services like compute, storage, and networking.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible for
managing cloud resources.
Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket, Bamboo, ARGO
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes.
Knowledge on Windows platform to configure manage IIS.
Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Middleware and Cloud Infrastructure:
Expertise in deploying, configuring, and managing middleware applications and services
on both on-premises and cloud platforms.
Familiarity with load balancing, high availability, and scaling for middleware apps.
Knowledge of API management tools and integration between middleware systems and
other components.
Cloud Security:
Solid understanding of cloud security practices, including IAM (Identity and Access
Management), encryption, and multi-factor authentication.
Experience with security and compliance tools, including vulnerability scanning and
auditing in cloud environments.
System Monitoring Performance:
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Newrelic or ELK stack
(Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills for middleware systems in
distributed environments.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related experience.
At least 5 years of experience working with middleware technologies, cloud
infrastructure, and DevOps practices.
Relevant certifications such as Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, or similar
middleware/cloud certifications are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices to integrate security into the DevOps process.
Experience with enterprise application integration and message queuing technologies
such as IBM MQ, Kafka, or JMS.
We are looking for a skilled Middleware DevOps Lead Engineer to join our team and play a key
role in managing, automating, and optimizing the middleware systems, cloud infrastructure, and
deployment processes. This role combines middleware management expertise with DevOps
practices to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and performance of enterprise applications
across cloud environments. As part of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for automating
and managing the deployment pipelines and middleware environments, ensuring that the systems
run efficiently, securely, and with high availability.
Responsibilities:
Middleware Management:
Manage and optimize middleware platforms such as IBM MQ, Websphere
liberty,Tomcat, or similar.
Install, configure, and maintain middleware solutions in both on-premises and GCP
cloud environments.
Administer Manage the MQ Systems / Clusters and Objects.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to middleware systems, ensuring
optimal performance and uptime
Cloud Infrastructure Automation:
Manage and automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like
Terraform, Ansible.
Deploy, configure, and maintain applications and middleware on cloud platforms -
Google Cloud Platform
Implement scalable and secure cloud-based solutions that integrate with the middleware
and applications.
Manage the Oracle Cloud infrastructure for Database Integration provisioning.
CI/CD Pipeline Development Maintenance:
Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and ensure
smooth application releases.
Integrate middleware components into automated deployment workflows for faster
delivery and continuous integration.
System Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
Use monitoring tools such as Grafana, Newrelic to track performance, availability, and
utilization of middleware and cloud infrastructure.
Analyze logs, performance metrics, and troubleshoot issues to ensure middleware and
cloud environments are running optimally.
Security Compliance:
Ensure security best practices for both middleware systems and cloud infrastructure,
including identity management, encryption, and secure access control.
Perform regular upgrades, patches and keep the tools systems up to date
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry
regulations.
Collaboration with Development Operations Teams:
Work closely with development and operations teams to define requirements, improve
application deployment processes, and troubleshoot system issues.
Collaborate with application developers to optimize middleware configurations and
performance in production environments.
Documentation Knowledge Sharing:
Document processes, configurations, troubleshooting steps, and best practices for
middleware and cloud environments.
Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams on cloud infrastructure,
DevOps practices, and middleware management.
