Profile : Deputy Medical Superintendent / Medical Superintendent

Location : Siliguri

CTC Offered : Upto 30 LPA

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Hospital Operations

• Oversee the daily clinical and administrative operations of the hospital.
• Ensure smooth functioning of OPD, IPD, Emergency, ICU, Operation Theatre, and other clinical departments.
• Coordinate with consultants, nursing services, and support departments to ensure seamless patient care.
• Monitor hospital operations and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
• Ensure optimum utilization of hospital resources, infrastructure, manpower, and medical equipment.

Quality & NABH Compliance

• Ensure continuous compliance with NABH Accreditation Standards and other applicable healthcare regulations.
• Lead hospital quality initiatives, patient safety programs, and clinical governance activities.
• Coordinate internal quality audits and support accreditation assessments.
• Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement across all departments.

Medical Administration

• Supervise medical staff, coordinate clinical schedules, and ensure smooth interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Support credentialing and privileging processes for consultants and medical professionals.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, clinical protocols, ethical practices, and standard operating procedures.

Regulatory & Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, statutory guidelines, biomedical waste management rules, infection control practices, and fire & safety norms.
• Maintain necessary licenses, documentation, and statutory records as per regulatory requirements.

Patient Care & Service Excellence

• Ensure delivery of safe, ethical, and patient-centric healthcare services.
• Address patient concerns and complaints promptly while ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction.
• Work closely with various departments to continuously improve patient experience and service delivery.

Infection Prevention & Safety

• Ensure strict implementation of infection prevention and control protocols throughout the hospital.
• Coordinate with Infection Control and Quality teams to maintain patient safety standards.
• Promote adherence to hygiene, sterilization, and safety practices.

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Provide leadership and guidance to medical, nursing, and administrative teams.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration among departments.
• Conduct regular meetings with department heads to review operational performance and resolve issues.
• Support staff development, training, and implementation of best clinical and administrative practices.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare operational reports and present updates to hospital leadership.
• Coordinate with external agencies, government authorities, insurance companies, and regulatory bodies whenever required.
• Participate in hospital committees and strategic initiatives aimed at improving operational excellence and healthcare delivery.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• MBBS from a recognized Medical College (Mandatory).

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a NABH-accredited hospital.
• Proven experience in hospital administration, clinical operations, quality management, and regulatory compliance.

Language Requirement

• Mandatory: Candidate must know Bengali .
