Mechanical Maintenance Technician

• Diagnose and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair critical mechanical assemblies of CNC Lathes, VMCs, HMCs, and SPMs, including spindles, ball screws, Linear Motion (LM) guides, turrets, Automatic Tool Changers (ATC), and Automatic Pallet Changers (APC).
• Troubleshoot Faults: Identify and resolve mechanical issues such as axis backlash, spindle vibration/overheating, turret indexing failures, hydraulic/pneumatic pressure drops, and oil/coolant leaks.
• Perform Routine PMs: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance, including lubrication system checks (metering valves and pumps), wiper replacements, belt tensioning, hydraulic oil filtration, and machine leveling checks.
• Precision Testing & Alignment: Perform machine leveling and alignment checks using precision instruments, measure backlash, inspect spindle runout, and log all PM and breakdown activities.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including reading circuit schematics, cylinder rebuilding, and valve troubleshooting.
• Excellent understanding of high-precision mechanical assemblies, scraping/blue-matching of guideways, and bearing fitments.
• Proficiency in reading machine assembly drawings, cross-sectional spindle drawings, and engineering blueprints.
