Mainframe developer

We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Developer with expertise in Mainframe technologies and a proven track record of managing 24x7 support operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical troubleshooting skills, and a passion for process optimization and team development. This position is based in Hyderabad.

• Lead and mentor the Production Support team to ensure high performance and accountability.
• Oversee 24x7 support operations, manage shift schedules, and allocate resources effectively.
• Provide hands-on technical expertise in Mainframe COBOL JCL and DB2 environments.
• Perform DueDiligence and estimation for large projects.
• Monitor system health, batch jobs, and resolve production incidents promptly.
• Drive root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless issue resolution.
• Maintain and enhance support processes focusing on automation and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present regular reports on incident trends, team performance, and key metrics.
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical and operational challenges.
• Guide team members in technical troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable support plans.
• Foster a positive team culture focused on continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, and training for new team members.
• Support audit and compliance activities ensuring documentation and processes are up to date.
• Be ready to work in 24 X 7 shifts.
