Linux Administrator

For Linux(RHEL/SUSE) L2/L3:

• Creation, deletion, increment and reduction of File systems
• User management ,File permissions and ACL management
• Work on server build, decommission and patching request
• CIFS & NFS creation and management
• Modify kernel parameters,Change temporary and static routes
• Install,configure and upgrade RPMs
• Export environment variables ,Printer Management,Cluster server management
• Creation and Deployment of shell scripts ,cron jobs
• Server availability over network and Network troubleshooting
• System log monitoring and analysis , RCAs
• Resolve incidents / problems w.r.t. Server raised by user within agreed SLA
• Perform hardening of the Server as per Security guidelines of customer
• Work with Application teams on Projects to fulfill Server related requirements
• Performance Optimization at server level to improve I/O performance of systems.
• Co-ordinate with vendors for hardware related issues and product specific issues.
• Ensure Backup of all Servers
• Perform Restore Drills as per agreed intervals and generate report
• Perform improvement planning and develop plans to accommodate changes as per trending reports
• Generate report on Activities to be planned in future and discuss with customer for approval on same
• RedHat Cluster configuration & Troubleshooting
• NFS, SAMBA, FTP & NTP configuration
• Good to have Hands on experience on varitas clustering and VVR replication activities.
• Good to have Clustering and High availability management along with Virtualization solutions
• Licenses Procurement. ITSM Process overview.
• Good communication skills and ready to work in 24x7 support
