Job Description
Roles and Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the labour ward, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing various medical procedures.
- Assist doctors and other healthcare professionals during deliveries and surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other nurses and healthcare staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in obstetric and gynecological nursing.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control policies and promoting patient safety.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a nurse in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferably in a labour ward or maternity unit.
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and protocols, particularly related to obstetrics and gynecology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with medical equipment and technology used in labour wards, such as ultrasound machines and infusion pumps.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, promoting patient safety, and ensuring excellent customer service.
