Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the complete IT infrastructure and operations of the entire campus.
  • Develop and implement IT strategy, policies, standards and security protocols.
  • Ensure end-to-end network, server, firewall, Wi-Fi, internet and system security.
  • Lead cybersecurity, threat detection, vulnerability assessment and prevention of hacking/unauthorized access.
  • Ensure protection against malware, ransomware, phishing, data breaches and cyber threats.
  • Manage servers, databases, cloud systems, data backup and disaster recovery.
  • Oversee ERP, HRMS, biometric attendance, CCTV, access control and other critical IT systems.
  • Ensure data security, privacy, access control and business continuity across the campus.
  • Conduct regular IT security audits, vulnerability assessments and risk assessments.
  • Manage IT projects, system upgrades, technology implementation and digital transformation.
  • Monitor IT performance and ensure minimum downtime and timely resolution of critical issues.
  • Manage IT vendors, AMC, software licenses, IT procurement and service-level agreements.
  • Lead, mentor and supervise the IT support and technical team.
  • Prepare and manage the IT budget, infrastructure planning and technology roadmap.
  • Ensure proper documentation of IT assets, network architecture, security policies and system configurations.
  • Coordinate with senior management and all departments for campus-wide IT requirements and technology solutions.


Preferred candidate profile

  • Candidate should have 812 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure and IT operations, preferably in a large campus, hospital, university, educational institution or corporate environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience in networking, servers, firewall, cybersecurity and IT infrastructure management.
  • Should have proven expertise in cybersecurity, threat detection, vulnerability assessment, data protection and prevention of unauthorized access/hacking.
  • Experience in managing ERP/HRMS, biometric attendance, CCTV, access control and other integrated IT systems will be preferred.
  • Should have strong knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, LAN/WAN, routers, switches, VPN, firewalls, cloud and backup systems.
  • Ability to independently manage campus-wide IT operations and critical IT incidents.
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills with the ability to supervise and guide IT support teams.
  • Should have experience in IT project management, vendor management, AMC, IT procurement and technology implementation.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
  • Candidates with B.Tech/B.E./MCA/M.Sc. (IT/Computer Science) or equivalent qualification will be preferred.
