India Shelter Finance Corporation aims to empower middle-income households with credit to acquire new homes or to extend and improve their current homes. So far, we have helped over 28,000 homes by disbursing over Rs. 2,000 crores in loans! We provide loans up to Rs. 20 lakhs to urban borrowers for up to 20 years and aspire to fulfill the progressively increasing need of first generation urban families that need help in accessing housing credit. Our goal is to build a profitable and socially useful business that will increase housing stock and improve health and education outcomes for these homes. India Shelter Finance Corporation Ltd (ISFC) is the new name of the erstwhile Satyaprakash Housing Finance India Limited (SHFIL), which was granted the certificate of registration by National Housing Bank on 26th October 1998. The business was taken over by a group of professionals and re-launched on 12th March 2010.Sequoia Capital invested in the company to meet the requirements of its first phase of growth. Later Sequoia Capital, Nexus Venture Partners and Westbridge infused more capital in the company to help accelerate growth.
